The curators, Madeleine de Colnet and Morad Montazami, talk about the background to the CASABLANCA ART SCHOOL exhibition.

Madeleine de Colnet is the co-director of the curatorial and publishing platform Zamân Books & Curating.

Morad Montazami is an art historian, publisher and curator. He is editor-in-chief of the magazine Zamân and director of the same platform.

Zamân Books & Curating is dedicated to the study of Arab, African and Asian modernism and works on the emergence of a transnational and postcolonial art history. Such new mappings of art histories emerge through monographs and collective exhibitions, the research journal Zamân, texts, images and documents and various types of publications, as well as through the re-editing - or translation - of newly discovered and rare material.
