Aslanishvili
Artist
The works of artist, filmmaker and essayist Tekla Aslanishvili (*1988) operate at the intersection of infrastructural design, history and geopolitics. She lives in Berlin and Tbilisi. She graduated from the State Academy of Arts in Tbilisi in 2009 and holds a Master of Arts (MFA) from the Berlin University of the Arts. Aslanishvili's films have been screened and exhibited internationally at New Visions - The Henie Onstad Triennial for Photography and New Media; Transmediale 2023; Loop Festival; Antoni Tàpies Museum; NTU Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore; PACT Zollverein; Neuer Berliner Kunstverein; Baltic Triennial; Tbilisi Architecture Biennial; Videonale 18; Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen; Kunsthalle Münster; EMAF - European Media Art Festival. She was a fellow of Digital Earth 2018-2019, was nominated for the Ars Viva Art Prize 2021 and received the Han Nefkens Foundation - Fundació Antoni Tàpies Video Art Production Award in 2020.
