SCHIRN MAG presents: #polizeiproblem revisited
For SCHIRN MAG, Mohamed Amjahid will read from “Alles nur Einzelfälle? Das System hinter der Polizeigewalt – Über Racial Profiling, NSU 2.0 und Machtmissbrauch in der Polizei”. The book, published in 2024, is a continuation and deepening of his critical analysis of the police system. It is based on representative studies, years of investigative research, and personal experiences. From the systematic cover-up of abuse of power to NSU 2.0, Mohamed Amjahid uncovers how deeply rooted the police issue is in Germany’s security architecture.
Moderated by Miryam Schellbach, the reading will lead into a conversation with the author and police researcher Daniela Hunold, which will also be open to the audience.

His conversations with activist Newroz Duman from the “Initiative 19. Februar Hanau,” police researcher Daniela Hunold, scholar and publicist Vanessa E. Thompson, and journalist Ayesha Khan focused on structural problems and lethal abuse of power within German law enforcement, the experiences of those affected, the remembrance of victims, and the artistic translation of political discourses.
