Expert Guided Tour “Technoromanticism”
The scientist and media artist Yannick Hofmann will guide you through the exhibition with a special focus on the dynamic relationship between science, technology and nature. Who looks at what and from which perspective? What does the human eye perceive and what do machines record? A potential point of intersection lies in artificially generated fictional landscapes, which in turn spring from romantic notions.

In his work, Hofmann (*1988) explores new perspectives in the social and cultural sphere through a critical-positive attitude towards technology. At the Fraunhofer IAO, he develops intelligent environments and multi-agent systems in the “Science, Art and Design” network. Previously, he worked at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. With intelligent.museum (2020-23), he developed and managed an international discourse platform. The project investigated how artificial intelligence and interactive technologies can transform the museum space into a social place of exchange and participation.
