Yvonne Albers is an Arabist at the Free University of Berlin. She researches and writes about modern Arab history of ideas, literature and art with a focus on the role of magazines and print culture. Her most recent publication is “Beirut and the Magazine ‘Mawaqif’: An Arab Intellectual History, 1968-1994” (Brill 2023).
