Rebecca Hanna John is a Berlin-based art historian and author invested in transnational perspectives on art. She studied art history, literature and media studies at the University of Konstanz, University Paris Diderot, Humboldt University of Berlin, as well as at the School of Arts and Aesthetics of Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. In the context of the DFG-funded graduate program “Cultures of Critique” at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, she wrote her PhD on archival critique and transnational memory work in the artistic practices of Akram Zaatari, Jumana Manna, and Farah Saleh.
