Cristina Mundici is an art historian and was chief curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Castello di Rivoli from 1985 to 1992. She then worked as an independent curator. She curated exhibitions such as the solo exhibition of Carol Rama at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam (1998) and published research work mainly on the vicissitudes of Italian art in the late 1950s and early 1970s.
From 1995 to 2000, she collaborated with Rudi Fuchs on the project commissioned by the City of Turin for the permanent installation of contemporary artworks in the urban area, Passante Ferroviario. From 2000 to 2010 she collaborated on the project promoted and financed by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Torino for an acquisition programme for the Castello di Rivoli and the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Torino.
In 2010, she was one of the founding members of the Carol Rama Archive, of which she is the scientific director.
