Annekathrin Kohout is a freelance writer and guest professor at the Berlin University of the Arts. She co-edits the book series "Digitale Bildkulturen" (Klaus Wagenbach Publishers) and the journal "POP. Kultur und Kritik". She is a member of the editorial board of the "Journal of Global Pop Cultures", AICA (Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art), and the Goethe-Institut. As a non-fiction author, she has written books on internet feminism, nerd culture, and K-Pop.
